The Chrismon Tree

Christmas Social Evening 2025
A very successful Christmas Social Evening was held at Beckminster on Saturday 6th December. The large audience, which included friends from other Crossways churches, shared excellent food, great entertainment and enjoyable company. The entertainment was provided by members of the Sandpipers Folk group. Dinner is served! The Catering Team with a selection of tempting desserts. The Chrismon Tree
The Chrismon Tree was brought into church on Tuesday 2nd December 2025 and put in place ready for the decorating team to start adding the symbols. Thanks to Phil, Roy, Steve and Graham for putting the tree in position ready for decorating. The Decorating Team - Pat Thrift, Lynn Hawkins, Loraine Harris, Hazel Graham and Peggy Heim. Coffee Mates
Coffee Mates held their final meeting of 2025 at the Inn at Shipley on Monday 1st December. It was well attended and a great time was had by all. Coffee Mates enjoying some good conversation and time together. The Coffee Mates Programme for 2026 is now available. Lest We Forget
Beckminster held its annual Remembrance Day Service on Sunday 9th November 2025. A large congregation and representatives of the uniformed organisations came together to remember all those who fought and those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have today. Fairtrade Christmas Market
Advance notice - the Fairtrade Christmas Market is on Saturday 15th November 2025 in the Main Hall at Beckminster Methodist Church. It starts at 10.30am and runs until 2.00pm . Christmas gifts, cards, crafts and food will be available. The Craft Group will also have a stall selling hand made gifts. Coffee will be available throughout the morning and there is also a light lunch.

Beckminster Centenary - Dates for your Diary
As you are aware, Beckminster will be celebrating 100 years of Ministry in Penn Fields and beyond during 2026. Many people over that time have gained inspiration to serve in different ways. Several have grown up at, or spent time at Beckminster, and then gone on into the Ministry of the Church. Beckminster Centenary Fund
Following the launch of the Beckminster Centenary Fund back in September this year, our Treasurer George Tonks that the Fund is currently standing at £7,958.95 when donations, sales of the Centenary Book and gift aid are taken into account. That's a magnificent start and can only serve to spur us on to lift the total even higher. The Fund will be used to support Centenary projects and improvements to the community facilities at the church.
