Lest We Forget

Beckminster held its annual Remembrance Day Service on Sunday 9th November 2025. A large congregation and representatives of the uniformed organisations came together to remember all those who fought and those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have today.


The Scouts, Cubs and Beavers paraded the flags at the start of the service.

Val Pollard who served with Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service (QARNNS) from 1979 - 1984 laid the Wreath of Remembrance.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them".
